The most Common Summer Injury is a Sprained Ankle

According to Czech Insurance Company statistics, this injury affects women more frequently than men during summer. Men tend to experience more cutting injuries.

How does an ankle sprain occur and what happens to it? A sprain, or ankle distortion, manifests with swelling and sometimes bruising. This painful ankle joint dysfunction leads to walking difficulties and, without timely treatment, can cause a chain reaction of functional disorders in the musculoskeletal system.

"Limping adversely affects the coordination of individual muscles and causes pain to transfer to other parts of the musculoskeletal system. Patients are often surprised that foot pain can cause headaches," shares physiotherapist Lucie Nováková from her experience. The pain affects overall posture. People get caught in a vicious cycle of pain and fatigue – they don't move because they're in pain, and they're in pain because they don't move properly.

"In these cases, laser therapy is an ideal starting point on the path to recovery," states Lucie Nováková. The advantage of laser treatment is its non-invasive and painless application, which helps break this cycle after just a few sessions and allows patients to return to their favorite activities.

Regen Clinic operates the most powerful laser in the Czech Republic, the American Light Force Laser, operated by an experienced team of doctors and physiotherapists. In addition to laser therapy, the Regen Clinic offers complete outpatient physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
